Résumé

Le modèle de l’entreprise africaine subsaharienne est très spécifique, notamment du fait de ses capacités de frugalité et d’agilité qui expliqueraient son dynamisme. L’objet de cet article est de proposer, à partir de l’observation et de soubassements théoriques, une description de l’entreprise africaine à la lumière de cinq propositions de recherche. Il s’agit notamment de montrer comment l’efficacité de son ancrage et de son déploiement pourrait être expliquée par son caractère frugal et agile. Les résultats et analyses amènent à considérer que ce modèle a sa propre rationalité.

Abstract

The Sub-Saharan African corporate model is certainly little known given its very specific nature. This specificity could be based, among others, on its frugality and agility capacities, which could also explain its dynamism and allow to take a step further in knowledge as far as this model is concerned. This investigation aims at suggesting, from observation and two theoretical foundations (social capital theory and effectuation theory of entrepreneurship). a description of African company in light of five research proposals. They particularly show how its anchoring and deployment effectiveness could be explained through its frugal and agile feature. Our findings and analyzes lead us to consider this model having its own rationality. Largely embedded in society, via gift and counter-gift practices, it is de facto based on a revisited theory of organizations, that is, on a theory of African organizations.
